Today I drew for quite a while, but I don't have anything all that exciting to show. Bear with me while I show you this junk.

Here's a wip study of some girl's face (I didn't take the original photo, whoever you are you're a saint and the credit's all yours!) :

Here are some gestures. The first picture is notable because I built her with negative shapes rather than lines. The pose was absurdly difficult. I kept getting everything proportioned incorrectly until I started drawing what I saw, and starting from the simple shapes. These are a little over 2 minutes each.

Some work on this guy. Started adding some value today.

This one... That guy on the right? Stars aligned and it started turning out awesome. But I ran out of page and there's only like a third of him. I'll probably go work on it someday.

I'm gonna color these sketches I did. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe not. Maybe someday.

Back from the dead.

Sorry for the lack of action here. I'm afraid I don't have anything exciting to show you this morning, but I'll post anyway. Last week of school + finals and stuff. I should be around more frequently in the coming days.

Some stuff from yesterday:

The labs have been full of students doing work, so I haven't been able to upload anything until now.

The scanner room is full to the brim.

So I've been unable to scan. But I still love you.

These next two the monster didn't turn out quite right when I tried to put it together.

Painting is rough.

I feel like my problem might be that I'm uptight and over-thinking everything. I need to use a bigger brush.

It's a flame elemental or something.

Just something I was foolin' around with this morning. Definitely in progress, will try to work out some of the kinks sometime. By sometime I mean maybe never because it would involve looking at something to fix the horrendous lighting. In case anyone cares, I was listening to Meshuggah and Amon Amarth while I was drawing this.

Finals approach.

It's that time of the semester where everything happens at the same time.

This is how I feel.

 And some other stuff. There wasn't much time to draw today. Too much to do.

Updates are likely going to be hideous until school calms down.

Her hair. Probably not possible.

As I was drawing this last one I realized that the beard had been lying dormant in my subconscious and manifested itself! It's clearly Zapan's face from Yukito Kishiro's Battle Angel Alita (Which, in my opinion, is the best fighting comic ever written. BETTER THAN DRAGONBALL!). So courtesy to Kishiro for the beard.

I had one more but apparently when I was closing Photoshop I forgot to save it. Whoops!

Apologies for the lack of progress here!

I've been neglecting my drawing homework, namely using Bert D's book. I'll try to get that going again. I really have no excuse, and my skills are not progressing adequately as a result. I will be a good boy and start that asap [asap = when my finals/other homework are done]. In the mean time here's some  stuff my brain made.

So yeah, here's some stuff I drew today.

And this guy. I like it, maybe I'll flesh it out someday when I have the skills to give him what he deserves. 

A lot of what I'm doing now is architectural because of the perspective I'm trying to learn. But I don't typically upload a lot of that stuff because it looks silly.

Oh, why not. But only because I love you.
