PIGS

I didn't really have a good art day today. But I was feeling good about these pigs at least:

Our Future is Bright: Summer Goals Recap Week the Eighth (8th)

THIS WEEK! I think I accomplishe oh no I didn't. I forgot to use those darn drawring books!

But I did some 3D and wrote down a cool story idea. It's seriously cool.

Here's some stuff from today. The next half of Summer starts tomorrow, so I have new classes (STUPID CLASSESSS!!!) but I want to find time to refine some of these ideas.

That guy's wrist. Help him please

The rest is just puke, don't bother looking at the rest of this.

WOLVES

It's clear to me that I've never really drawn animals. LAWL! Also, I've looked at the word "Wolves" so much it looks funky to me. All those links at the top lead to different wolves, so try 'em all, you might learn something new! I tried to do something with Maya today but I'm struggling to get the mesh to UV the way I want it to and it was going to take longer than the 26 minutes I had available. I'll work more in tomorrow. Also I don't normally post about my personal life but it's 11:10 P.M. and I'm really excited about it. Who cares? You probably would like to know anyway! I got engaged Monday! Kaitlin said yes and I'm so excited to build a life with her and do art with her. She's the best.

*I've never seen this movie, but I saw a trailer for it when I was like 13?

Blehhhh

Slower day today. I have to go to work, so I don't have much time to do anything. I did some other things, but I didn't properly warm up so I don't want to share with you. I made this Lord of the Rings-esque sword in Maya today. I was going to paint it, but I'm OUTTA TIME!
Thomas is at it again over at his blog. He did a treatment of the Dreaded Laser Horse this time, and it's swiit.

I have to go, but I want to render this stuff more.

Tomorrow! Be there or be square. Here's my final for class:

It could use some work, probably . The main guy looks a bit too crisp for his surroundings, I think. Learning from it, MOVING ON

Thumbs for something I wanna work on:

Development of the previous idea:

Hours

I spend hours a day. I see cool stuff other people do and it makes me want to be better. It's a lot of work.

Update on my homework assignment:

Whoa, these guys have the same face. That's cool?

A dragon! I did a sketch and painted it. That lavender background makes me want to vomit, and I really can't stand looking at it, it hurts my eyes. It changed a lot. I want to add more detail in the painted version. I think I need to study 3D forms and how shadows are cast, because I really struggle with painting.

Put the chickens away!

I have to go put the girls back in the cage and get ready for work. Here's some things, it's not 3D, I didn't have timeeeeeeeeee. But soon. I just have a lot to do today.

The final project for class is whatever I want. So I decided to take what I'd been doing last week and push something to completion. So here's this thumb:

It was my special secret, I'd been saving it for a special occasion. Well whatever- Better make it count! Dumped stuff over it:

I expanded it to fit the required measurements (1600 x 1200 pixels) and found I was almost there anyway. I changed what I had considered buildings to cliffs because it seemed to read easier and continued refining everything. So tomorrow I'll work this some more.

And all the rest.

66.6%: Summer Goals Recap Week the Seventh (7th)

Wayelllll... I did okay this week. I opened up "How to Draw" and looked at some stuff and read a bit but I didn't honestly put much effort in. I still did it, though. With all the work I've been doing this week perspective-wise, I should take it more seriously to make my compositions more better.
I also did some writing this week. I had this awesome idea while I was at work and I typed it up and wrote it down.
I didn't do any 3D this week, I'll try to rectify that TOMORROW!
That's 2/3 goals met, or 66.6%.
Maybe I'll get all three?

Here's some stuff from today:

Okay, I've had my fun

I've been fooling around with compositions for a while, I need to take one of them and push it further. So that's what I'm gonna do next week. Um. It's kind of cool to have two subjects. Here I have a tower and some dude walking towards it:

This is what I turned in for "Mask" today.

Prepare Lunch!

That's next on my to-do list.
Here!

This was the first picture I did today, and I think I'm most pleased with it. It's like another view of that thing I posted yesterday.

I did this next. I'm having issues keeping everything detailed consistently. That big guy on the left has too much going on, I need to tighten up the bridge. I guess this was more an exercise in preparing for a finished composition than anything else, but I don't like how some things look.

This is what i have so far on this week's prompt for class, "Mask." I was going to work on it today but I worked on other things instead. I have to finish this!

My eyes!

I've been staring at my computer for awhile and my eyeballs hurt. I decided to start pushing myself on working toward more finished products. To get all achievements in Dark Souls 2 you need all the spells, and you can't get one of them without being 2nd tier in the Bell Keeper covenant. That means you have to kill at least thirty other players when they set foot into the belfries, and THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE ON NONSENSE LIKE THAT. So I kept my game idling while I drew. Every so often someone would invade a belfry, I'd be transported there to butcher them, and then come back. In between invasions I was doing thumbs. After a while I got bored and scanned everything in to Photoshop and colored stuff. I have a few more I want to develop, but ere's what I got so far:
