I'm planning on doing some Dodson tonight when I get home. I'm typically way too tired. I'll probably still be so tonight. Honestly, I'd only be working from Dodson's book but he requires props and most of my sketch time is while I'm out and about and I don't want to drag garbage all over creation. It really doesn't matter anymore because I'm slumping and it's depressing. Good grief. I'm just posting pewp every day.

Looking at this one now, I'm not sure why it's up here... There was much better stuff I sketched today. I really liked the unhappy bunny, though.

Here's two days worth of stuff.

I MISSED A DAY. Yeah, I feel like poop. What happened was yesterday was a holiday. I worked for about 2 1/2 hours on an art project for my 2D design class (It's miserable. The project. It maketh me rage). Then I played video games all day with some friends. This is the first day in a while I've done this. It was fun, but afterwords I just felt guilty, like I had squandered my day. I didn't draw at all and I really need to get crackin' on Dodson's book. Every once in a while it's good to have a no-brain day, but I felt like I overdid it. I brought it to school today with my Keys to Drawing sketchbook and found out that I was unable to do 1-C and 1-D without outside assistance. So here's another 1-B:

I'm sick of this! I need to draw more exotic hand garbage from insane angles, but alas: It's hard because my hands are attached to my wrists. I'll chop 'em off first. This morning I stopped by Staples and bought a box of 50 (!!!) pens for like 7 bucks. The best pens, seriously- Bic Round Stic in 1.0. Best multi-purpose pen in existence. I dumped a ton in my bag and in the car and everywhere so there are pens to draw with wherever I am. I also found my $3.50 Pentel Hybrid Technica that I had misplaced (I posted about it a while back). So I drew a ton of stuff to celebrate. But man, I was seriously giggling like an idiot with that box of 50.

My goal is to have some 1-C's and 1-D's for tomorrow. Here we go.

I turned 23 today.

Any guesses about what my birthday wish was?

It was actually very simple.

I'll know if it came true before the week is out.

I'm going to bed.

Oh, and I didn't think Downton Abbey's 3rd season ended badly.

I feel like we as Americans are used to fairy tale endings and life doesn't happen like that. It's refreshing to have a story where nobody is safe. It's sad, yeah.

But that's life.

Exercise 1-B from Dodson's book.

Bert Dodson's book asked me to draw my hand from an awkward angle and draw what I see and not what I think. I hate starting stuff but once I get going I'm addicted and can't stop.

Finished artwork for a friend.

A good friend of mine asked me to do some custom Monster Hunter artwork for his arcade stick. He wanted the flagship monster, Rathalos, done in the style of the Brachydios that's on the cover of the limited edition 3DS. What's odd is that I didn't use this particular picture of a Rathalos for reference; our poses just ended up being the same. But yeah, take a look.

Also, I started a new sketchbook to specifically work through Bert Dodson's Keys to Drawing after a professor suggested that as a course for improvement as I'm currently not enrolled in drawing classes. I'll be posting from that as I continue to do the assignments. 

Some stuff.

Bad habits.

Feels like I'm becoming complacent... Everything feels the same. I don't want to fall into a slump. I'm gonna have to try new things to avoid this.

 Ha. So in this one, two guys literally have the same face. But I didn't draw it the same, I just copy-pasted because I thought it was funny.

I have issues with nearly everything here except for the lil' robot in the bottom left hand corner.

So I'm posting a ton of massive images! This will take forever to load. Wretched. In the mornings I always think of the most hilarious things to post on here but at 7:18 P.M. when I'm tired and hungry I can't remember what I wanted to say. So I just dump it all up here.

 These last two are junk I pooped out with a pen on some scratch paper a teacher handed out. They're covered with song titles from Between the Buried and Me, one of my favorite bands. They're on my mind because I'm going to see them Friday night at the filthiest of venues, the Great Saltair.

So tomorrow I'll have stuff from a (nearly) brand new sketchbook! Get ready. I'm going to find some dinner. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Dad.

I drew some wicked cool stuff today. But I'm only sharing some generic blah. We have a chameleon, right, they always have a permanent scowl? Today, I drew this lizard guy, y'know? Anyway, he was channeling Randall the Chameleon's scowl. It's hilarious. But I didn't upload it. I have to have some secrets, right? I may upload on a slower day, should the demand for such a thing arise. Good night.

I spelled it that way so I wouldn't get sued. It's not like I'm trying to make money, right? Well yeah, I don't own Batman but think he's cool and he frequently makes guest appearances in my work.

And this last one... I was sitting in a warm, sunny hallway and was trying not to fall asleep. The result is the bizarre Batman image. 

Oh, and one more thing - A blog visual update is incoming. I had this dream last night that I was redesigning my blog to "Look like skeletons". In dream logic it made perfect sense. I'm going to try to do the same in reality. Be ready!
