I turned 23 today.

Any guesses about what my birthday wish was?

It was actually very simple.

I'll know if it came true before the week is out.

I'm going to bed.

Oh, and I didn't think Downton Abbey's 3rd season ended badly.

I feel like we as Americans are used to fairy tale endings and life doesn't happen like that. It's refreshing to have a story where nobody is safe. It's sad, yeah.

But that's life.

I hope my birthday wish isn't a casualty of reality's cruel edge.
